During the 1960s in Catalonia, there emerged a cultural movement called the Gauche Divine, formed by a group of energetic, creative and idealistic young intellectuals who rebelled against the cultural vacuum of the Franco regime. The portrayal of public and private aspects of the group's life in Ana María Moix's book "24 horas con la Gauche Divine" allows us to examine hoy the commonalities established among the members of this group create a fluid and flexible collective identity that does not obliterate the distinct identity of tis individual members. An analysis of the interplay between Moix's text and photographs by Colita, Maspons, and Miserachs illustrates hoy words and images complement each other.
