Translating a veterinary SPC can be a bigger challenge than a translator who specializes in human medicine might think. In this paper, we will review the main features of a veterinary SPC, from the references to be used (EMA, EDQM, AEMPS) to the differences between the veterinary and human templates (primarily in the Clinical particulars section). We will also include pharmaceutical forms and routes of administration that are exclusively veterinary, such as medicated premixes used in animal feed. Finally, we will look at whether a veterinary MedDRA exists and is used in the industry.
