This paper presents the research that is being carried out with the purpose of determining the Greek paremiological minimum. The introduction emphasizes in the interest that Greek proverb collections and studies put on preserving and transmitting the popular Greek tradition. On the other hand, it confirms the absence of research on the paremiological capacity that Greeks have in the present. It is important to underline the mistake that has been done in the past in the search of equivalents for Greek and Spanish proverbs: frequency has not been taken into account. And finally, the criteria and methodology used setting up a questionnaire are presented; which, after collecting a reasonable number of completedquestionnaires, will be the base on which we will be able to determine the Greek paremiological minimum.
Este estudo presenta a investigación levada a cabo para establecer o mínimo paremiolóxico grego. A introdución fai fincapé na utilidade das coleccións e os estudos sobre proverbios gregos para preservar e transmitir a tradición popular grega. Por outra banda, confirma a ausencia de investigación verbo da capacidade paremiolóxica actual dos gregos. Saliéntase o erro cometido na última procura de equivalentes entre proverbios gregos e españois consistente en non ter en conta a frecuencia. Finalmente, preséntanse os criterios e a metodoloxía empregada para realizar un cuestionario que, tras recadar un número razoable de enquisas completadas, será a base sobre a que se poderá establecer o mínimo paremiolóxico grego.
