Hoy en día se refleja la convivencia de varias culturas en un mismo ámbito ya sea físico, político o social. Vivimos en la era de la globalización. Las fronteras se desdibujan. Lo lejano se vuelve cercano. Descubrimos que las necesidades de los demás no difieren en mucho de las nuestras, y que los obstáculos o barreras culturales son más fáciles de levantar de lo que pensamos.
Llevando esta reflexión al campo de la enseñanza de una L2, los elementos que conforman y dan significado a un nueva metodología de enseñanza-aprendizaje tratan de ser una ventana abierta hacia la cultura del Otro y, para alcanzar dicho objetivo se incorpora en el proceso de enseñanza � aprendizaje las nuevas tecnologías; éstas son un poderoso aliado para potenciar y conseguir los efectos que persigue, es decir, preparar ciudadanos cada vez más libres, solidarios y responsables.
Asimismo, las nuevas tecnologías facilitan extraordinariamente la interculturalidad: la comunicación entre las personas, de culturas idénticas o diferentes, del mismo país o de tierras lejanas; las distancias se acortan, y las dificultades para llegar a los demás también.
En este artículo, nos proponemos, en un primer momento, exponer la importancia de un aprendizaje desde una perspectiva intercultural, a continuación, analizar los parámetros que definen una metodología intercultural y, finalmente aportar un ejemplo de enseñanza-aprendizaje de una L2 intercultural.
Today is reflected the coexistence of various cultures in the same area either physical, political or social. We live in the era of globalization. The borders are blurred. So far it becomes nearby. We discovered that the needs of others do not differ in much of ours, and that the obstacles or cultural barriers are easier to lift of what we think. Bringing this reflection to the course of the teaching of a foreign language, the elements that make up and give meaning to a new methodology for teaching-learning try to be an open window toward the culture of another and, to achieve that goal is incorporated in the process of teaching, learning new technologies; they are a powerful ally to enhance and get the effects that pursues, i.e. preparing citizens increasingly free, caring and responsible. Also, the new technologies facilitate extraordinarily an intercultural approach: the communication between people, of cultures identical or different, the same country or in distant lands; the distances are shorter, and the difficulties in reaching out to others, too.
In this article, we intend, at first, exposing the importance of an intercultural approach to second language education, then analyze the parameters that define a methodology intercultural and, finally provide an example of teaching-learning a foreign language
