Resumen de Adio Kerida: l’identità sefardita nel viaggio di Ruth Behar

  The purpose of this paper is to examine the travel as a way of identity reconstruction and essential feature of Sephardic identity through the analysis of the documentary film by Ruth Behar, Adio Kerida (2002). The anthropologist reconstructs her own identity and of the whole Cuban Sephardic community through the testimonies collected in her travels. From Behar path emerges a new essential feature of the Sephardic identity: the need to travel through several homelands not recognizing any place as home.

  Nel presente lavoro s’intende esaminare il viaggio come percorso di ricostruzione identitaria e caratteristica essenziale dell’identità sefardita attraverso l’analisi del documentario di Ruth Behar, Adio Kerida (2002). L’antropologa ricostruisce, tramite le testimonianze raccolte nei suoi viaggi, la propria identità e quella dell’intera comunità sefardita cubana. Dal percorso della Behar emerge un nuovo tratto essenziale dell’identità sefardita: il viaggiare, espresso dalla necessità di muoversi continuamente attraverso molteplici madri-patrie senza mai riconoscere un luogo come casa.
