La hidro-toponimia prehistórica revela la existencia de estratos indoeuropeos muy antiguos (arqueo-variedades) que datan del Mesolítico y el Neolítico y que son anteriores a la presencia de las lenguas no-indoeuropeas históricamente atestiguadas en la Península Ibérica.
The prehistoric river names and place names suggests the existence of Mesolithic and Neolithic dialects of the Indo-European family of languages. The presence of these archaeodialects in Iberia precedes the arrival of non-Indo-European historical languages.
