The article tells, through the itinerary of a long friendship, the literary story of Miguel Ángel Asturias, since he arrived in Italy. The author outlines a profile of the production of the Guatemalan author and explains him with the narration of the dialog between writer and critic, also through a handwritten letter. The author declares his preference for Mulata de Tal and Viernes de Dolores, because in these novels Asturias reaches the highest peaks of story-telling ability and extraordinary linguistic wealth.
