El personaje de Motamid ha estado presente en nuestra literatura española a través de los siglos. La obra teatral de Blas Infante recupera su espíritu poético, identificado con el nacionalismo solidario andaluz, y se vincula de manera muy especial con otro libro escrito por Infante, líder del nacionalismo andaluz en la primera mitad del siglo XX, en el mismo periodo: La Dictadura Pedagógica.
Motamid’s character has been present in our Spanish literature through the centuries. The play of Blas Infante regains his poetic spirit, identified with nationalism Andalusian solidarity, and is linked in a special way with another book written by Infante, Andalusian nationalist leader in the first half of the twentieth century, in the same period: The Pedagogical Dictatorship.
