El objetivo principal del presente estudio es exponer someramente, con una metodología esencialmente descriptiva, los principales o más recurridos juegos lingüísticos de orden fónico (en general), ilustrados con un elenco representativo de ejemplos, que han practicado los escritores de la poesía española contemporánea (en especial, primera mitad del siglo XX); a saber: paronomasia, calambur, eco, aliteración, etc.
The main goal of this study is to explore and examine the main or most frequent word play of a generally phonetic kind, namely, paronomasia, pun, echo, alliteration, etc. Essentially descriptive methodology is followed throughout the paper, with a representative selection of examples taken from the contemporary Spanish poetry (mostly the first half of the 20th century).
