Representación e imagen de la traducción e interpretación en la prensa española

    Este trabajo constituye un análisis del tratamiento y de la imagen de los traductores e intérpretes en la prensa digital española. Para llevarle a cabo, se ha elaborado un corpus formado por los artículos más relevantes publicados por los cuatro diarios de mayor tirada de la prensa nacional (ABC, El Mundo, El País y La Razón) durante la década 2004 - 2014. El análisis es esencialmente cuantitativo y se articula sobre los elementos siguientes: la búsqueda de las noticias en los periódicos, el volumen de las mismas, la especialidad traductora (oral o escrita), los ámbitos de la traducción e interpretación tratados por los distintos artículos en cada uno de los cuatro diarios, así como la imagen (positiva o negativa) reflejada a través de dichos elementos.

    This study is an analysis of the treatment and the image of translators and interpreters in the Spanish digital media. To carry out the study a corpus was assembled composed of the most important articles published in the four major Spanish dailies (ABC, El Mundo, El Pais and La Razón) over the decade from 2004 to 2014. The analysis is essentially quantitative and is based on the following elements; the search for the news items in the dailies, the length of the items, the speciality (oral or written), the fields of the translation and interpretation dealt with in the different articles in each of the four dailies and the image (positive or negative) these elements reflect.
