Even though Basque-speaking municipalities act as the main breathing space of our Basque speech community, there are considerable gaps in the schools located within them when it comes to working on today’s sociolinguistic situation. The players in the field of education admit that there are gaps from the perspective of the teachers and the students. The function of this paper has been twofold: to identify and classify these gaps, and to propose solutions to tackle this situation in schools. It has been created for that purpose.
Euskaldunon hizkuntza komunitatearen arnasgune nagusiak udalerri euskaldunak izan arren, bertako ikastetxeetan gabezia nabariak daude egungo egoera soziolinguistikoa lantzerako orduan. Bai irakasleen aldetik, bai ikasleen ikuspuntutik, hutsuneak daudela aitortzen dute hezkuntzako eragileek.
