Este artículo surge de la lectura de tres cuentos modernistas centroamericanos cuyo protagonista es el personaje tema de la femme fatale, Salomé. En los tres cuentos es posible observar una reconfiguración del mito de la princesa hebrea que baila para obtener la cabeza del profeta. Rubén Darío, Froylán Turcios y Enrique Gómez Carrillo logran reinventar el mito de Salomé para la configuración de sus relatos cortos modernistas.
This article has its origins by reading three Central American modernist stories whose protagonist is the character theme of the femme fatale Salome. In these stories it is possible to observe a reconfiguration of the myth of the Hebrew princess dancing for the head of the prophet. Rubén Darío, Froylán Turcios and Enrique Gómez Carrillo, manage to reinvent the myth of Salome for the configuration of their short modernist stories.
