Lehen mailako euskal irakaskuntzak azken hamarkada honetan izan duen bilakabidearen balantze-moduko bat egiten da hemen, euskarazko lerroak nolako oztopo estrukturalak, politikojuridikoak nahiz soziolinguistikoak, dauzkan azalduz. Aterabide posibleak proposatzerakoan, eskola pribatu eta publikoaren arteko dikotomia faltsua alde batera utzirik, esaten da helburua euskal eskola nazionala, hots, euskalduna lortzea dela eta horri begira euskal lerroetan dihardutenen indarrak koordinatu eta bultzatu behar direla. Prozesu baterakor honen protagonismoa herri-mugimenduak eraman beharko luke.
An appraisal of sorts has been made of the development of primary Basque teaching over the past decade, in which mention is made of the structural, politico-juridical, as well as sociolinguistic obstacles the Basque-speaking track has run across. In proposing possible solutions and leaving aside the false dichotomy between public and private schools, the author remarks that the goal of a national Basque school is, indeed, to be Basqu-speaking and in that regard all forces working in the Basque track must be coordinated and promoted. The prime mover of this coming together of forces should be led by grass-roots movements.
