This article aims to contribute to a new understanding of the concept of space in the post-dramatic theatre, considering the stage creation of the Argentine-Spanish artist and playwright, Rodrigo García, as paradigmatic in this context. From many of his works we have chosen two for our analysis: Somebody to love and ¡Haberos quedado en casa, capullos!, which, in the most explicit way, reflect the concept of the performativespace. Bearing in mind the evolution of the theatre in the course of the XX century, the article focuses mainly on the question of the emergence of meaning, the articulation of aesthetic experience and the notion of intermediality in the theatre of the playwright. These issues have been analyzed from the perspective of the theory of Hans-Thies Lehmann about the post-dramatic theatre, the performative aesthetics explored by Erika Fischer-Lichte and the idea of performative practice studied by María José Contreras Lorenzini.
