Translators have a wide variety of computer-assisted tools for terminology management. However, interpreters have not benefited from the same level of innovation, despite the fact that specialised vocabulary is one of the main difficulties for interpreters in medical settings. In this study, a set of parameters is established to analyse existing terminology management systems (TMS) from the point of view of interpreters in medical settings. The results suggest the need to improve the design of TMS as well as to inform new searching procedures used by interpreters in medical settings.
