    “Aballay” de Antonio Di Benedetto es un texto que encierra una pluralidad de significados. Su multiculturalismo espacial, temporal y cultural establece un diálogo y una interacción con otras obras y favorece, ya en sí mismo, el surgimiento de hipertextos. El análisis del cuento permite reflexionar sobre las conexiones entre hombre y medio ambiente y estudiar el relato no sólo como ejemplo de transculturación sino también como nuevo abordaje a la literatura gauchesca. El análisis propuesto permitirá efectuar una comparación entre el cuento y la transposición en historieta, pasando por la cinematográfica, y reflexionar sobre diferencias y analogías entre ambos soportes.

    “Aballay”, by Antonio Di Benedetto, is a text with multiple meanings. Its spatial and temporal multiculturalism sets a dialogue and an interaction with other works and it permits the creation of hypertexts. Through the analysis of the tale we intend to think about the connections between man and environment. The intention is to study the tale not only as an example of transculturation but also as a new approach to gaucho literature. The suggested analysis makes possible a comparison between comic and movie adaptation, and a reflection upon differences and similarities between those two media.
