Por medio de una encuesta de actitudes lingüísticas aplicada a 400 hispanohablantes bogotanos, se identificaron diferencias en cuanto a la unidad lingüística. Los que están a favor de la unidad lingüística del español justifican su respuesta en la mejoría de la comprensión en la comunicación. Los que están en contra sostienen que la unidad lingüística pone en riesgo la identidad socio-cultural que ofrece cada variedad del español. Se considera al español colombiano como el modelo notable de unidad, seguido de la variedad de España y la de Argentina.
Through a linguistic attitudes survey applied to 400 Spanish-speaking subjects from Bogota (Colombia), we identify differences respect to language unity. The people who are for the language unity justify their answer in the improvement of comprehension on communication. The people who are against the language unity argue that unity could put at risk the socio-cultural identity which offers each Spanish variety. According to the subjects, the Spanish spoken in Colombia is the most remarkable model of language unity, followed by the Spanish spoken in Spain and Argentina.
