este artículo consiste en una breve introducción a la poesía de José Alcalá Zamora, a través de la lectura y el comentario de Noticia de mí (2012). Se identifican los temas y motivos básicos de este libro, representativos de la obra, rica y diversa, del autor. En sonetos meditativos y proféticos, Alcalá Zamora refl exiona sobre la corrupción de la religión, la crisis del hombre, la idolatría tecnológica, la tensión entre convención social y libertad interior, y las potencialidades y revelaciones del amor erótico.
Noticia de mí concluye con una nota de afi rmación vital: el triunfo de la voluntad y de la poesía sobre la enfermedad y el olvido.
This article is a brief introductory study to the poetry of José Alcalá-Zamora. The basic themes and motifs of José Alcalá-Zamora ́s book of poems, Noticia de mí (2012), are identifi ed and subjected to a critical reading. As exemplified in this collection, Alcalá-Zamora ́s poetry is both richly diverse and coherent in its world view. Alcalá-Zamora writes prophetic and meditative sonnets that center on the corruption of religion, the crisis of man, humanity ́s servitude to the secular gods of technology, the limits of conventions in defi ning human relationships, and the possibilities and revelations of erotic love.
