  Al hacerse cargo del Hospital de la Misericordia los hermanos de san Juan de Dios, en Cádiz, iniciaron, pocos años más tarde, la puesta en marcha de un corral de comedias y con las ganancias del mismo se abastecieron para llevar a cabo su labor humanitaria. Pasaron por sus tablas los ‘autores’ más representativos de la época.

  After taking charge of Mercy Hospital, in Cádiz, the Brothers of St. John of God initiated, a few years later, the setting in motion of a corral de comedias and, with its profits, they stocked up to carry out their humanitarian work.
