This article analyses key themes in the theatre of Rodrigo García regarding the use of food in both the textual level and the scenic space. Food as a vehicle that questions and symbolizes the abuse and the compulsion of contemporary society to get filled to satiety; and a critique, of course, to that same society called consumer society. Structured in two main lines, this work pretends to delve into the motives that lead the playwright and director to the use of food, not just as an artistic resource, but as a condemnation.
