Con el fin de recordar el papel que tuvo (y sigue teniendo) la producción de crónicas literarias, en la configuración social, política y humorística de Venezuela, durante el siglo XX, abordaremos una parte de la producción cronística de dos escritores venezolanos: Francisco Pimentel (Job Pim) y Miguel Otero Silva (M.O.S). Especialmente nos interesa sus apreciaciones sobre uno de los fenómenos que revistió una especial significación en la vida de los venezolanos durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, se trata del teléfono.
In order to remember the role that (and still has) the production of literary chronicles, in the social, political and humoristic configuration of Venezuela, during the twentieth century, we will address a part of the chronicle production of two Venezuelan writers: Francisco Pimentel (Job Pim) and Miguel Otero Silva (MOS). Especially, we are interested in his appreciations on one of the phenomena that had a special significance in the lives of Venezuelans during the first half of the twentieth century, it is about the telephone.
