In this paper I attempt to characterize a paradoxical category: the Venezuelan best-seller novel. This notion allow me to reconstruct the relationship between reading, editing and production of the novels Falke and El pasajero de Truman, all of this in a horizon that shift the literary specificity and puts the novels in circuit in which political and historical debate becomes marketable. Keywords: best-seller, Venezuelan narrative, literary production.
