Las ordenanzas de los fabricantes de agujas cordobeses surgen a iniciativa del gremio de agujeros, de algunos sastres y un mercader. Los motivos que alegan es la necesidad de unas normas que reglamenten como debe ser la preparación de los trabajadores de este oficio, de los materiales que debían emplear y como llevar a cabo el proceso de fabricación. El objetivo era conseguir que las agujas elaboradas en la ciudad no perdieran la calidad y fama que las distinguían de las procedentes de otros lugares.
