La historia editorial del relato “El uniforme del general”, aparecido en las postrimerías del franquismo, revela la capacidad de penetración que la narrativa de José Ángel Valente ha tenido en el terreno de los sistemas ideológicos, políticos y sociales. Como fórmula de resistencia ante los entramados ideológicos, formula la existencia de un espacio de la interioridad individual, vinculado a la memoria, que sirve para rectificar, desde dentro, los discursos dominantes, y deja al descubierto, al mismo tiempo, los mecanismos que sostienen y validan las verdades oficiales.
The history of how the story «El uniforme del general» was published during the last stages of the Franco Regime, reveals the capacity of penetration that the narrative of José Ángel Valente has had in the field of ideological, political and social systems. As a resistance formula facing ideological frameworks, it formulates the existence of a space in the inner being of an individual, connected to the memory, that serves to rectify, from inside, the dominant discourses, and that, at the same time, exposes the mechanisms that sustain and authenticate the official truths.
