El presente trabajo estudia cómo el grammaticus Servio (s. V d. C.) construye su auctoritas lingüística a partir del tratamiento de los errores –en este caso particular, los solecismos– y el límite difuso entre estos y las figurae retóricas. La construcción de la autoridad es un proceso fundamental para garantizar la eficacia en la tarea del gramático, que en tanto guardián de la lengua y la tradición tenía a su cargo la educación de las futuras clases dirigentes.
The present paper aims to study the way in which Servius the grammaticus (5th century AD) constructs his linguistic auctoritas departing from the treatment of linguistic mistakes, such as solecism, and the boundaries between this and rhetoric figurae. This statement of auctoritas is a fundamental process, which guarantees the efficacy of the grammarian‟s task, who, as a guardian of language and literary tradition, was in charge of the instruction of the future political Roman class.
