Analizamos un cuento de Camilo José Cela en este año de su centenario, porque deseamos destacar un aspecto importante de su producción: su narrativa breve. Elegimos el cuento de “Catalinita” recogido en el volumen Nuevo retablo de don Cristobita (1957).Echábamos en falta un análisis pormenorizado de la maestría del autor gallego en la construcción de este relato. No olvidemos que estamos ante un texto de ficción en que la forma es tan importante o más que el contenido. Pensamos que es un modo de dedicar nuestro mejor homenaje al autor gallego.
We are analyzing a short story by Camilo José Cela in this year of his centenary, because we want to highlight an important aspect of his literature: his brief narrative. We chose the story of “Catalinita” collected in the volume Nuevo retablo de don Cristobita (1957).We were missing a detailed analysis of the mastery of the Galician author in the construction of this story. Let’s not forget that we are dealing with a fictional text in which form is as important or more than content. We think it is a way to dedicate our best homage to the Galician author.
