Argentina
In this paper we take a critical look at the reconfiguration of contemporary public space through the relations between public/private and political as determinant signifiers, and underline the increasing relevance of the private sphere in the constitution of a "public intimacy" —with some examples from Argentinean reality shows. We also point towards some crucial changes in political discourse and politics itself centered in a prevalent way in the personalization of candidates. From this point of view, the traditional distinction between public and private is affected by contingency, mutual displacements and undecidibility.
