En este artículo sigo el itinerario de una leyenda oral protagonizada por una mujer mítica que se dedica a agredir y a veces a causar la muerte a los hombres borrachos, donjuanes o maltratadores, cuando se encuentra con ellos en algún lugar apartado o silvestre. Analizaré paralelos en otros pueblos de Oaxaca y de México, y también de otros países del continente americano y de España. Los antecedentes del relato remontan incluso al cuento europeo medieval. Analizo los paralelismos con un cuento del Sendebar castellano del siglo XIII.
In this article I follow the itinerary of an oral legend starring a mythical woman who is dedicated to assaulting and sometimes causing death to drunk men, donjuanes or abusers, when she meets them in some remote or wild place. I will analyze parallels in other towns in Oaxaca and Mexico, and also in other countries of the American continent and Spain. The history of the story even goes back to the medieval European tale. I analyze the parallels with a story from the 13th century Castilian Sendebar.
