Este trabajo se centraexclusivamente en la figura del indio y del gitanoen la obra narrativa de García Márquez. En el tema del indio, se tratarálo más des-tacado de su aspecto físico y moral, y su ocupación, haciendo hincapié en el trabajo forzoso. Respectoal gitano, abordaremos también sus rasgos físicos y morales, su indumentaria, sus mudan-zasy sus oficios más relevantes.
In this paperwe will focus exclusively on the figure of the Indian and the Gypsyin García Márquez’s works. On the subject of the Indian, we will discuss the most important aspects of his physical and moral appearance and his occupation, with emphasis on forced labour. Regarding the Gypsy, we will also address his physical and moral features, his dress, his moves, and his most relevant trades.
