Entre els segles XIII i XV a la ciutat de Girona existiren quatre hospitals. Estaven situats en diferents zones de la ciutat, tots fora muralles, i es dedicaven a l'acollida de persones pobres i malaltes. Alguns estigueren vinculats a l'autoritat episcopal i d'altres eren administrats pel govern municipal. Els seus fons documentals no s'han conservat de forma homogènia, no obstant en teníem prou dades per intentar reconstruir la seva història i la seva acció assistencial
Between the 13th and 15th centuries there were four hospitals in the city of Girona. They were located in different areas of the city, all outside the walls, and were dedicated to the reception of poor and sick people. Some were linked to episcopal authority and others were administered by the municipal government. Its documentary holdings have not been preserved in a homogeneous way, however we had enough data to try to reconstruct its history and its action. of attendance
