Son numerosas las obras literarias producidas por la Compañía de Jesús durante los siglos XVI y XVII, tiempos en los cuales aún resonaba su novedosa metodología y la fuerte importancia adquirida en pocos años. Hablar de los jesuitas en los territorios de la Monarquía Hispánica es hacerlo, obligatoriamente, del colegio establecido la Salamanca, ciudad de una de las cuatro universidades más importantes del territorio peninsular. Analizaremos el valor adquirido por el libro, así como las repercusiones de su biblioteca y de las principales producciones de sus habitantes.
There are many literary works produced by the Society of Jesus during the 16th and 17th centuries, times in which its new methodology and the importance acquired in a few years, still resonated. To speak about the Jesuits in the territories of the Spanish Monarchy is to do so, necessarily, about the school established in Salamanca, one of the four most important universities in the peninsula. We will analyse the value acquired by the book as well as the repercussions of its library and the main productions of its inhabitants.
