Este artículo repasa los mitos de la identidad de Bélgica a través de varias publicaciones con un análisis basado en la propia estructura del símbolo. La mayoría de los mitos arraigados en Bélgica están precisamente atravesados por la reconciliación de los elementos contrarios, un ideal que funda el inconsciente del país.
This article aims to review the myths of Belgian identity based on the structure of the sym-bol itself. In the introduction, we present a synthesis of Belgian identity myths throughout its history, detected by Jean-Marie Klinkenberg on the basis of the sociology of literature. We then look at contemporary myths cross-checking the testimonies of writers and artists published by Jacques Sojcher and we understand the structure of the Belgian myth from a work by Jean-Marie Klinkenberg on the subject, Petites mythologies belges. In conclusion, we can say that most of the myths rooted in Belgium are precisely crossed by the reconciliation of opposing elements, the foundation of the country’s unconscious.
Cet article a pour objectif d’offrir un parcours des mythes identitaires en Belgique franco-phone en montrant qu’ils relèvent de la structure propre au symbole. Dans l’introduction, nous présentons une synthèse des mythes identitaires relevés par Jean-Marie Klinkenberg du point de vue méthodologique de la sociologie de la littérature. Nous explorons ensuite les mythes contemporains sous le prisme de témoignages d’écrivains et d’artistes publiés par Jacques Sojcher, d’une part, et des Petites mythologies belges de Jean-Marie Klinkenberg, d’autre part. Nous concluons sur l’idée de l’enracinement des mythes en Belgique dans la ré-conciliation des éléments contraires, un idéal qui fonde l’inconscient du pays.
