Este artículo pone en relación dos gramáticos españoles proscritos en sus respectivos momentos históricos por sus innovadoras ideas, ambos anticipadores de importantes hitos en la lingüística europea y no siempre considerados en su justa medida. Francisco Sánchez de las Brozas, el Brocense o Sanctius, y Ángel Amor Ruibal son comparados aquí con los gramáticos franceses de Port-Royal y el lingüista ginebrino F.
de Saussure, respectivamente, con pequeños apuntes sobre la influencia de Humboldt en Amor Ruibal, por suponer Humboldt un hilo conductor entre ambos españoles.
This article relates to two proscribed Spanish grammarians in their respective historical moments due to their innovative ideas: Francisco Sánchez de las Brozas, the Brocense or Sanctius, and Angel Amor Ruibal. These Hispanic linguists are anticipators of important milestones in European linguistics. They have not always been considered in their proper measure. These linguists are compared here are compared here with the French grammarians of Port-Royal and the Geneva linguist Ferdinand de Saussure, respectively, with small notes on the influence of Humboldt in Love Ruibal, for supposing Humboldt a guiding thread between both Spaniards.
