El presente artículo realiza un análisis de Auto de los despatriados del poeta andaluz Miguel Pizarro, la única obra dramática escrita en español en clave de teatro Nõ con elementos características del auto sacramental. Establecemos un paralelo entre su única obra dramática y la azarosa vida de la poeta marcada por el contexto de la Guerra Civil española, su permanencia durante once años en Japón y su exilio americano. El artículo identifica las claves del teatro Nõ dispuestas en la obra y los paradigmas del auto español. Adicionalmente explora los pensamientos budistas sobre el amor y el destino implícitos en la obra, así como un análisis de los principales símbolos provenientes de las tradiciones de Oriente
This article analyzes El Auto de los despatriados («The Passion Play of the Exiles») by Andalucian poet Miguel Pizarro, the only dramatic work written in Spanish in the style of Nõ theatre with characteristic features of the “auto sacramental”.
We draw a parallel between Pizarro’s only theatre play and the poet’s eventful life, marked by the Spanish Civil War, his eleven-year stay in Japan and his American exile. The article identifies the key devices of the Nõ theatre found in the play, and the paradigms of the Spanish «auto sacramental». Additionally, it explores Buddhist thought on love and destiny implicit in the play, as well as an analysis of the main symbols from the traditions of the East
