Fernando Fernán-Gómez´s poetry is characterized by a series of peculiarities, which make it special in his literary legacy. His heterogeneity in styles and themes places the poetic voice of this multidisciplinary creator among the most original in Spanish literature of the twentieth century. However, the little importance given to this literary facet by the author himself made it remain alien to the public and researchers for several times. The publication in 2002 of the book titled Song is flight by the writer allowed access to his complete poetry, most of it unpublished so far. This article aims to vindicate the value of Fernán-Gómez´s poetry through the study of his texts collected in the aforementioned volume. Likewise, testimonies of the writer and other authors are collected in order to discover this poetic work still hardly investigated.
