The paper investigates the presence of the dramatic figure of the Chi-nese migrant in the contemporary Spanish theatre. As we noticed, the presence of the Chinese population is disproportionately scarce considered the fact that it occupies the seventh position in the ranking of the foreign population in Spain (January 2021). The paper focuses on the work of Paco Bezerra, "El señor Ye ama los dragones" (2015) that is one of the few exceptions in this context: it deals with the problem of migration and introduces the dramatic figure of the Chinese migrant as a protagonist. The paper main analytical perspective are the dramatization of the otherness and the mechanisms of exclusion and for this we apply the concept of modern pariah (Arendt 2004 and Varikas 2017). If at first the figure of modern pariah serves mainly to determine the social practices that marginalize and exclude Chinese migrants residing in Spain, as the action progresses, the same category will be also applied to Spanish citizens as victims of the economic crisis. With this change in perspective, the stage play manages to sensitize the reader or spectator and mobilize them to commit to a community policy.
