En el presente trabajo pretendemos ofrecer un análisis de la configuración formal de un tipo muy concreto de palabras idiomáticas: los préstamos léxicos procedentes de la lengua latina que sobreviven insertos en locuciones españolas. Para ello, tras delimitar los conceptos de palabra idiomática, préstamo léxico y latinismo, se aclaran los procedimientos metodológicos para recopilar este tipo de voces en un diccionario general actual como el DLE, y se procede al análisis etimológico y morfológico del corpus obtenido. El principal rasgo de los préstamos léxicos idiomáticos procedentes del latín es que no presentan los cambios evolutivos característicos de la evolución del latín al español (como si fueran voces patrimoniales), sino unas mínimas adaptaciones a la lengua receptora, cuando las ha habido.
In this paper, we intend to offer an analysis of the morphology of a very specific kind of idiomatic words: loanwords from Latin that survive inserted in Spanish idioms. To do this, we will first define the concepts of «idiomatic word», «loanword» and «Latinism», and then we clarify the methodological procedures to compile this kind of words in a general dictionary such as the DLE. Then we will do an etymological and morphological analysis of the words of our corpus.
The main feature of idiomatic loanwords from Latin is that they do not present the characteristic changes of the evolution from Latin into Spanish as if they were inherited words but minimal adaptations to the target language.
