En este artículo intentamos acercarnos a la Retórica cultural como la ciencia clásica del discurso que conecta, por una parte, la retórica con la cultura y, por otra, la cultura con la retórica. El discurso retórico facilita un entendimiento cultural mediante diferentes figuras del lenguaje que incluyen, entre otras, la metáfora; analizamos el papel del motor metafórico para poder interpretar adecuadamente el discurso poético del poeta vasco Gabriel Aresti basándonos en la observación de la metáfora de la piedra en su trilogía social.
Our article is an attempt to study the peculiarities of cultural rhetoric as the classical science of discourse that connects, on the one hand, rhetoric with culture and, on the other, culture with rhetoric. Rhetorical discourse makes cultural peculiarities explicit by using different figures of language, including metaphor; We analyze the role of the activation of metaphorical engine in the process of understanding the metaphor of stone in the poetic discourse of the Basque poet Gabriel Aresti.
