La fórmula sintáctica que estudiamos tuvo gran vigencia entre los poetas latinos. La heredan los neolatinos, y los españoles, en su lengua romance, la cultivan hasta las mismas fronteras del presente. Con la fórmula se pretende resaltar enfáticamente la inmortalidad de una persona o del trabajo poético, sobre todo. Pero caben otros contenidos que se anotan en el estudio. Tal cauce de expresión temporal no es sino un modesto elemento de la imitatio.
The syntactic formula that we study was highly prevalent among the Latin poets. The Neo-Latin poets inherited it, and the Spanish, in their Romance language, cultivated it up until the very threshold of the present. This formula seeks to emphaticallyhighlight the inmortality of a person, or above all, of a poetic work. There are, however, other contents, which are noted in the study.This channel of temporal expression is no more than a modest element of the imitatio.
