Tras el fallecimiento de María de los Ángeles Ayala Aracil, importante profesora, editora y escritora especializada en investigaciones sobre autores de los siglos XIX y XX, diversos miembros de la Sociedad Menéndez Pelayo, la Universidad de Alicante y algunos amigos de Ayala quisieron crear un volumen que recogiera sus monografías más relevantes y útiles, para conmemorarla e ilustrar sus aptitudes de investigadora, escritora, editora y crítica. A lo largo de su trayectoria estudió el periodismo y todos los movimientos literarios de los siglos XIX y XX, así como sus autores más destacados, algo que se refleja en esta obra recopilatoria, Estudios literarios. Esta reseña resume y destaca nombres relevantes que se mencionan en cada apartado del libro, dedicado a un movimiento literario concreto.
After the death of María de los Ángeles Ayala Aracil, an important professor, editor and writer specializing in research on authors from the 19th and 20th centuries, various members of the Menéndez Pelayo Society, the University of Alicante and some friends of Ayala wanted to create a volume to collect her most relevant and useful monographs, to commemorate her and illustrate her skills as a researcher, writer, editor and critic. Throughout her career, she studied journalism and all the literary movements of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as her most outstanding authors, something that is reflected in this compilation work, Estudios literarios. This review summarizes and highlights relevant names that are mentioned in each section of the book, dedicated to a specific literary movement.
