Al mismo tiempo en que se dialoga con la crítica sobre el tema, se comparten en este ensayo reflexiones sobre los objetos, modos y medios miméticos que construyen los niveles de la expresividad teatral de la novela en mención y que son aprovechados magistralmente por Cervantes para alcanzar así su propósito último, que era crear la ilusión de la vida directamente representada.
The question on Don Quixote’s theatrical expressiveness reveals several aspects that are worth mentioning, including those related to the development of the work, the story and the plot, as well as the linguistic performance and the effectiveness of its communication, based on the way the cervantine text was designed to be read, heard and imagined. While this paper looks fordialogue with criticism on the subject, it also shares interpretations on objects, mimetic forms and means of the novel to show their levels of theatrical expressiveness. These resources are masterfully exploited by Cervantes in order to achieve the ultimate purpose of creating the illusion of life that is represented directly.
