    El documento presenta parte de la correspondencia que mantuvieron Menéndez Pelayo y Víctor Said Armesto. Said fue el primer catedrático en España de Literatura gallego-portuguesa, además de periodista, folklorista, filólogo, filósofo y literato. Su amistad con el polígrafo cántabro fue permanente. Hay dos temas que se tratan en las cartas: el primero es una consulta puntual de Said a Pelayo para enriquecer su proyecto de memoria de cátedras de enseñanza secundaria de Lengua y Literatura Castellanas; el segundo, hace referencia a la cátedra de Literatura galaico-portuguesa a la que Said accede por oposición en 1914.

    The document presents part of the correspondence between Menéndez Pelayo and Víctor Said Armesto. Said was the first professor in Spain of Galician-Portuguese literature, as well as journalist, folklorist, philologist, philosopher and literate. His friendship with the Cantabrian polygraph was permanent. There are two topics that are dealt with in the letters: the first is a specific consultation of Said a Pelayo to enrich his memory project of chairs of secondary education in Spanish Language and Literature; the second, refers to the chair of Galician Literaturewhich Said agreed to in opposition in 1914.
