This necrological article is intended to pay tribute to the figure of Francisco Ruiz Ramón (1930-2015), a theatrist, philologist, critic, historian, Hispanist without borders of exceptional talent and extraordinary character. He was a recognized teacher. Months after his death, a book was published that collected the proceedings of the days held two years earlier in the Villa del Caballero: The heritage of the Spanish classical theatre: actuality and perspectives.
