La edición de Adolfo Sotelo Vázquez sobre los ensayos de Francisco Giner de los Ríos es una lectura recomendada para aquellos estudiosos de la literatura decimonónica. No solamente repasa y recoge diversos artículos ginerianos, sino que incluye en el Apéndice homenajes y palabras de otros autores y amigos coetáneos a él, para honrar su figura, obra y aportaciones sociales krausistas y liberales. En concreto, los artículos recogidos en esta edición versan sobre artes y letras, como indica su nombre, es decir, sobre historia, filosofía, educación, religión, política…, no solo limitándose a los estéticos y críticos.

He not only reviews and collects various Ginerian articles, but also includes in the Appendix tributes and words from other authors and friends of his time, to honor his figure, his work and his Krausist and liberal social contributions. Specifically, the articles collected in this edition deal with arts and letters, as its name indicates, that is, about history, philosophy, education, religion, politics..., not just limited to aesthetics and critics.
