En esta necrológica se recuerda a Pablo Beltrán de Heredia, amigo del autor, a quien conoció en su infancia. En España, en los años cincuenta, Beltrán de Heredia fue profesor de Historia en el Instituto Santa Clara y, más tarde, emigró a Estados Unidos, donde se reencontrarían, para pertenecer a la facultad de Español de Austin, Texas. Se lo recuerda como un hombre afable, muy hablador, gran historiador, generoso, servicial, discreto y leal.
This necrology remembers Pablo Beltrán de Heredia, a friend of the author, whom he met in his childhood. In Spain, in the 1950s, Beltrán de Heredia was a history professor at the Santa Clara Institute and, later, he emigrated to the United States, where they would meet again, to belong to the Spanish faculty in Austin, Texas. He is remembered as an affable man, very talkative, a great historian, generous, helpful, discreet and loyal.
