Escribió novelas de diferentes modalidades: realista, biográfica, experimental, lírica, metaliteraria. Finalmente, se ofrece un recorrido por la obra del autor, profundizando en las facetas española, hispanoamericana, francesa y europea; y, también, árabe u oriental.
This obituary pays tribute to the figure of Juan Goytisolo on the occasion of his death in 2017. His facet as a writer is enhanced and a capacity for renewal stands out, breaking with himself, on the one hand, with the literary genres more firmly established or to be conquered, on the other. He wrote novels of different types: realistic, biographical, experimental, lyrical, metaliterary. Finally, a tour of the author’s work is offered, delving into the Spanish, Spanish-American, French and European facets; and, also, Arabic or Eastern.
