El libro reseñado recoge las obras teatrales de la galería La España Dramática del siglo XIX en España. Se trata de una recopilación que en esta edición se pretende reconstruir, a través de bibliografía física y digital, categorización en subgéneros y análisis de las representaciones de las obras. Tres partes vertebran el libro: la primera se encarga de contextualizar el funcionamiento del teatro de la España decimonónica y su edición; la segunda se adentra en el repertorio entero de La España Dramática; la tercera se compone de numerosos índices para buscar las obras a través de sus autores, sus fechas de edición, sus traducciones… Es muy destacable la labor de organizar las obras, los índices y apéndices, claros y precisos, así como su objetivo principal: reconstruir esa galería del teatro decimonónico.
The reviewed book collects the theatrical works of the La España Dramática gallery of the 19th century in Spain. It is a compilation that in this edition aims to reconstruct, through physical and digital bibliography, categorization into subgenres and analysis of the representations of the works. Three parts structure the book: the first is responsible for contextualizing the operation of the theater of nineteenth-century Spain and its edition; the second delves into the entire repertoire of Dramatic Spain; the third is made up of numerous indices to search for the works through their authors, their edition dates, their translations... The work of organizing the works, the clear and precise indices and appendices, as well as its main objective, is very remarkable: rebuild that nineteenth-century theater gallery.
