En diálogo con las teorías de Joseph Campbell y de Carl Gustav Jung se reflexionará sobre la arquetipología del héroe. Se observará el reduccionismo psicologista de Freud, y particularmente de Otto Rank, para comprender en qué sentido el “monomito” es un patrón narrativo, antropológico y ontológico. La dimensión ontológica y sagrada del héroe se explican a partir de las nociones de arquetipo y de inconsciente colectivo de Jung. La búsqueda del héroe se correspondería con el “proceso de individuación”. A partir de este análisis, se señalará de qué manera la conciencia mítico-arcaica sigue latente en la literatura y en las artes posteriores a las civilizaciones antiguas. Esto servirá para esbozar las líneas de una posible metodología crítico-literaria, la Antropología Literaria, inscrita en las ideas de la hermenéutica simbólica.
In dialogue with the theories of Joseph Campbell and Carl Gustav Jung we will reflect on the archetypology of the hero. We will point to the psychologist reductionism of Freud, and particularly of Otto Rank, to understand in what sense the "monomyth" is anarrative, ontological, anthropological and sacred pattern. The ontological and sacred dimension of the hero is explained from Jung’s notions of archetype and collective unconscious. The search for the hero would correspond to the "process of individuation". From this analysis, we will observe how mythical-archaic consciousness survives in literature and the arts after ancient civilizations. This will serve to outline the lines of a possible critical-literary methodology, Literary Anthropology, inscribed in the ideas of symbolic hermeneutics.
