Resumen: Este artículo investiga la re-escritura de la Crónica de Indias en la poesía en español de la segunda mitad del siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI. En primer lugar, atiende a la recreación del género en la poesía de Blanca Varela, José Emilio Pacheco y, muy especialmente, Ernesto Cardenal. Tras un análisis del uso del intertexto en la poesía latinoamericana, se aborda su recepción en la poesía española peninsular del siglo XXI. En cada caso, la Crónica de Indias adquiere sentidos distintos, generando una plurisignificación que en última instancia incide sobre la categoría de lo colonial y lo postcolonial, desestabilizándola.
Abstract: This article researches on the rewriting of the Crónica de Indias in Spanish-language poetry during the second half of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century. First, it addresses the influence of the genre in the poetry of Blanca Varela, José Emilio Pacheco and, especially, Ernesto Cardenal. After an analysis of the use of intertext in Latin American poetry, the article looks at its inheritance in Spanish peninsular poetry of the 21st century. In each case, the language of the Crónica de Indias acquires different meanings, generating a plurisignification that ultimately affects the category of the colonial and the postcolonial, destabilising it.
