En China los tratamientos nominales son elementos comunes en la interacción personal. 老/lao/, 大/da/ y 小/xiao/, indicadores de la edad de la gente, sirven para formar títulos de profesiones, cargos y estatus sociales, que tienen que ver con su significado especial en la cultura china. Por otra parte, se usan junto con los nombres parentales y apellidos para denotar y connotar diferentes relaciones interpersonales por ser expresiones cargadas de un mayor contenido de afectivadad. Este trabajo pretende explorar sus rasgos semánticos y pragmáticos con una presentación de las fórmulas de tratamiento nominales formadas con 老/lao/, 大/da/ y 小/xiao/ y su traducción al español en La fortaleza asediada.
In China the nominal addresses are common elements in the personal interaction. 老 /lao/, 大/da/ and 小/xiao/, indicators of the age of the people, are used to form titles of professions, posts and social status, which have to do with their special signification in the Chinese culture. On the other hand, they are used, with the kinship names and family names, to denote and connote different interpersonal relations, because they are expres-sions filled with feelings. This paper explores their semantic and pragmatic characteristics with a presentation of the nominal addresses formed with 老/lao/, 大/da/ and 小/xiao/ and their translation into Spanish in La fortaleza asediada.
